Sin is an offense against God. At the same time, it damages communion with the Church. The sinner is in need of both God's forgiveness and reconciliation with the Church. This is accomplished liturgically by the Sacrament of Penance. Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God and are reconciled with the Church. It is called the Sacrament of Confession since confession of sins to a priest is an essential element of this sacrament. It is called the Sacrament of Forgiveness since by the priest's sacramental absolution God grants the penitent pardon and peace. It is called the Sacrament of Reconciliation because it reconciles the penitent with God and those against whom we have sinned.
Confessions are heard in church:
Saturdays: 3:00 P.M. – 3:45 P.M.
