Matrimony

The Matrimonial covenant is established by the Creator. Marriage is not purely a human institution. God himself is the author of marriage. Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another. The well-being of the individual person and society is closely bound up with the healthy state of marriage and family life.
 
The mutual love between husband and wife is an image of God’s absolute and unfailing love for humanity. Grace received in the sacrament of Matrimony perfects the couple's love and strengthens their unity. By this grace, they help one another to attain holiness in their married life and in welcoming and educating their children.
 
The Sacrament of Matrimony is normally celebrated on Saturdays at 1:00 P.M. Weddings may also occur on Friday evening.
